    U1-2134 Samsung 8040

    Afternoon. Quick question.

I came to a service call and noticed a history of fuser errors. I just wanted to see if the thermistors are dirty and I noticed they are not touching the heating element. Now on my experience with Brother, Sharp, canon, and HP. They always touch the heating element. Is this normal?

Take a look at the following history, a picture.

So, this is my first Samsung Fuser disassembly so I'm not familiar with the engineering. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.U1-2134 Samsung 8040

There are two kinds of thermistors. Kyocera uses some non-contacting thermistors. The rest are contacting thermistors.

This is a contacting thermistor. Yours must make contact to work properly. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
