S1-2411 C9250ND

Hi

Samsung 9250 which has not been in use for a 1.5 year (previously works great) shows s1-2411 error (HDD error) and display is very dark so hard to read.

I tried another HDD but cannot install it from USB as it says USB not mounted. I tried by network but after connecting (connection is done and files are available) and starting HDD format it says CIFS write error.
Any suggestions?

The power supplies tend to go creating HDD errors of all sorts. I would try to swap that one first.
