SCX-5935 Samsung - File exist error

I have been dealing with a File Existed error on the Samsung SCX-5935 MPF's.

I am trying to get scan to file working on a windows 7 x32 bit OS by sharing directly from the C: directory.

It should work, but I am having issues getting the scan to file. I have shared out the file by adding specific users to the file permissions and even created a new user in Win7 and gave it administrative rights.

I have tried to even create the scan file in the public folders, but still can't get it to work. I turned off the Norton firewall and even turned off the Win7 firewall and still no avial.

If any one has had this issue, I appreciate it if you could help out.

If I remember correctly Windows 7 blocks port 139, but port 445 remains open.
Place the name of your share folder on the line labelled "Share Name", not on the line thate says "Scan File Folder". =^..^=

you may also need to turn on file and print sharing in the network control center.win7 also very picky about domains and workgroups.

I am having the same issue on Win7 x64 PC again.

Unable to scan to smb even with file sharing, security, and full admin permissions on the PC? I have had this issue with a few SCD-5935's in the field.

I know that Win7 is picky about its domain and workgroup names, but this a peer to peer network with no domain and I have made sure to turn everything off.

Anyone with better insight on Win7 x64 OS?
