    samsung scx-6555N toner problem

I replaced two new toners and machine keeps saying shake toner/toner mixing to imaging unit. I tried a new imaging unit without any luck. The new drum displayed shadows on copies and the machine makes clicking sounds. The mfg reps seem lost, they say maybe main board or power supply. any ideas? thxs.

Hi , I had a similar problem on the colour CLX8385 series.

The problem was the toner feed at rear of machine had not been properly punctured from factory causing toner not to be pumped into the developer unit.
After installing a new drum and developer (already filled with toner) the copier went ok for a while until the toner in the developer needed replenishing. then the same fault occured.
I Had to physically remove what i could of the remaining plastic covering the toner feed hole at rear of machine to correct the issue.
Have not heard from that customer since.

    Hope that helps.

Just saw a bulletin on this problem from Samsung. It's the plastic shaft that sticks through the rear of the machine that drives the toner. It's spring loaded, and sometimes swells and hangs up, so it doesn't mate with the cartridge to drive the toner. Make sure this shaft moves in and out freely and doesn't stick. Hope this helps. Regards..... Jeff M.

It is the white plastic coupling that turns the toner cartridge, its spring loaded if you push on it. They split...part number is JC97-02681A...MEA Unit,Gear supply. Its part of the main drive assembly. Remove the main drive assembly from the rear...very simple. You will see the plastic coupling assembly is mounted to it. Simple to remove and replace. Changed many
