[Misc] Samsung SCX 5835, Password needs cleared to access admin settings

Previous customer changed password and new customer doesn't know it. Been all through service manual, no solution. This problem I am starting to think, has no fix... Any help is greatly appreciated...

do a usb firmware update, the login will change to admin and pw to sec00000

You can also go into 'Diagnostic' mode, select "Other" tab, and click on "Reset Admin Password".

i had the same problem... but that was resolved by your method..
customer service centre told me to do so

Excellent info. I bought three MFX4555 and luckily had all three at default password. I'm sure it is similar for an SCX 6545.
