Sam clx 8640

Hello!

Has anyone noticed an issue with the Sam 8640's using toner that does not even come close to predicted yield? The cartridges are estimated to about 20k pages...I am seeing about 4-5k pages per cartridge. I am also seeing the waste toner bins filling up at about 5k pages.

Samsung has had us update the firmware in the machines and has also told us to not relay on the toner reports to heavily.

Just curious if anyone else has seen this and if so has been able to resolve it.

We had one do exactly the same.

Samsung themselves resolved it by giving us another machine. They sent someone out to look at it themselves and decided to replace it. Figured it was an isolated incident, maybe not!

sorry for resurrecting an old thread .. we have one doing this too plus its filling its waste toner in about 8000 prints

has anyone discovered a fix for this yet?

Firmware is up to date.

The latest is D06.06 EC15:01. Is that what you have?

Anyone have luck with this? Samsung has been NO help in resolving this issue and I have tried everything they have asked me to do....from firmware to new hibernation images.
