Scx8128na fax locks up

New machine, took the place of a Kyocera 2550. When faxing it intermittently locks up. Status will show sending, or sometimes held. Has stayed in this state as long as an hour. Customer eventually has to power off main switch. No error code or report. After hard reset it will send. We are new to Samsung. Does anyone have experience with this issue? Thanks.

With Samsung, it's always upgrade firmware as the first step - then check on GSPN for any bulletins.

This is from an SCX-5935, but might be of interest to you:

Won't print. Initialization completes. Status Monitor shows the first print job as "HELD". If the first job is deleted, the next job becomes "HELD". Affects internal prints, reports, fax receptions, copies, prints (literally every print).

This condition came about when the customer attempted to stop a 117 pg fax reception. Customer does not know what key sequence is used. Door switch #1 or #2 on the power supply is not made, possibly as a result of removing power supply. Will not display "Door Open" condition.

Tried HDD, PBA main controller, Op panel. Reformatted HDD, performed NV Clear for Memory, Fax, Copy, & Network. Machine does not boot without DIMM memory or HDD or both. Reposition fuser exit door to actuate rear door switch.

update frimwar, and send Sammy the log data before the update, so they can send it back home(S.Korea). Thats my past Sammy experience.........

It's the regular RJ-11 jack with 4 pins but only the two center pins are used (Red and Green).

Sammy has a capture log function in the service mode that you can export to a flash drive and then you can send it to Sammy support.....
