Hi
I have one M401 which displays jam under cartridge. Sounds simple but
What happens is that the job completes and exits every single time with no other fault. Paper never stops in the path,...
Hi
I just wanted to check if anyone has had any problem with using the Lexmark C510 fuser in the Brother HL-2700. Obviously mechanically the same but will "fuser life" reset?
Thanks
Curious if anyone has seen this fault....
Without phone cable attached boots fine consistantly
With phone cable attached (after the initial HP logo) it gets to a pink screen with flashing...
Put yourself in this situation.
You've travelled an hour to attend two customers, on attending to the first one you are requested to obey a fire evacuation drill they randomly decided to have (it's...
Hi
Sorry, just asking...not a defective cartridge?? Else take the drive gear off the fuser, run it up briefly to eliminate which end of the gear train is the cause. Always handy to keep an old fuser...
Maybe HP should have made their Photosmart range and other inkjets entirely out of light blue plastic then??:p:p
Nooo...de otha rollahhhh! ;)
Check the charge roller and contacts to, else the engine board output is faulty.
Yes, worked more than once for me.
What to do
Format a CF in a working machine, copy onto it (with a PC) the engine firmware file. Insert in faulty machine, then turn on. If the correct file is on...
Thankyou very much for solving that one:D
Hi all
Every now and then I get to fix other than printers. This 1015D has mostly been pretty easy rebuilding from a donor 1015 until now. I've taken the network card out of the donor, and fitted it...
Thought I had replied a with a thanks on this one:o oops
Unfortunatly the above spring was not the cause and all feed rollers continue to run the wrong way once a document is loaded. I'm now hoping...
Hello
The beast in question senses a document loaded then runs the feed rollers in the reverse direction. Receive end of things all works fine. Firstly this is not a machine i'd seen before, so I...
No wuckin forries:):):)
It does often go the other way IMO. People with perfect English do exhibit that same rudeness. Is it polite for example for a shop assistant to spurl their typical "thankyou, have a nice day", then...
There are some great rites-of-reply there.
Once a machine is deemed unfairly by the operators to be "a pile of poo" I have been known to comment back

Is America having an election again?
The tech note I mentioned is probably less detailed than what has already been said (warm soapy water). This is fine in the workshop, but can be slow to dry and may even leave a film. In the field,...
Yep
I'm getting heaps on FS-3900's and FS-2000's with this. Not too many FS-4000's sold here, but same thing.
On most I can clean the charge roller and problem is solved. Some get grit...
If only operators had a black box nailed to the back of their heads, then you could off load the data...."Ahhh, that's why". Till then it's a gamble if it's corrupt documents, host parallel port,...
I reckon I've done at least 10 of these machines for this fault. I've only had recall on one. The first I did (3300) I think about two years ago and is still in use. I think the major tip is to...
