+1 you have to put 2 washers between the connector and the mount plate of the finisher to improve the connection with copier.

did you tried to modify the margin settings in user tools?
Go to user tools than copier/document server features.
In edit page set front margin, back margin and 1sided to 2sided...

It seems to be a problem with the laser motor.
