Swapped out drums. DC Con clear. Replaced drum contact PCB and connecting pcb assy. Nothing has worked so for. Any ideas welcomed.
Make sure green dot on ITB is toward back of unit. Run service mode>level 2>copier>func>clear>reg clr>. Exit. Power cycle. Run quick and full gradation. This fixes sub scan reg. issues most times.
If I remember right, you had to remove 38+ screws to get to that lazer unit. Then put them all back in.

If your not trained on the IRC3100 or IRC3170, you should not be working on one.
Check connectors on back frame of copier behind slide out transfer/fixing assy. units for torn paper. Check both male and female connectors.
Circuit diagrams are in "Technical Reference Guides". You will probably have to order them from Canon.
