Try cleaning the shaft the motor runs on then use some light oil on the shaft. also check the wire to the motor make sure its not getting hung up as the roller runs back and forth
replace the Lens\Sbu assembly
those units can be used you will have to cut off the alignment pin on the pcu assy. for it to fit in the newer machines.
you have a hard drive or controller problem, call for service if you don't have a contract get ready to pay big $
