Bump. One of my hardware techs just replaced the MFPB on a C554e, and now the customer says they can't staple. When I went to the web page it said "Generic 55c-6e" and I don't know where to go from...
If they are scanning to hostnames, try switching to one of the PC's IP addresses to see if that speeds it up. If it does, make sure the DNS settings are correct and try scanning to the hostname again.
First thing I would check is the permissions to the scan folder - make sure the username you're using (or "Everyone") has modify rights.
Another thing I do when I'm having SMB issues is make sure...
Utility -> User settings -> Printer settings -> PS Setting (and PCL Setting)
If those are set to Grayscale that could be your culprit.
The jobs are getting deleted before they leave the print server's queue - nothing is even showing up on the copiers' queues. We've discovered two new things since my original post:
-Any new...
We have a customer with several KM machines (951, 554e, C554). It is a law office with many users, and they are using Equitrac and Windows Server 2012. We've recently run in to a few problems with...
I absolutely need to find the original image, or maybe try to make one myself...
edit: Google is my friend.
I used to tell people that the "e" stood for "Ehhhhhh maybe you should buy something else".
Now I yearn for those machines now that we have the C368/C308's dropping like flies...
Have you tried booting with the network cable unplugged from the MFP?
I just did my first attempt at the workaround - it worked! It was on a C284, and it didn't wipe the address book or settings. Here's the abridged version of the fix:
1. Set software switch 25 to...
I've got about 50 open calls all with this problem. I am just going down the list informing the customer that it's a known issue and that we are working on it, and setting up SMB scanning for the...
We had around 25 service calls come in yesterday for scan to e-mail problems. I am on the phone with one of the customers right now and he is having the exact same problem as you. This may be...
If the machine has a self-signed certificate from the factory, delete it. I have found consistently lately that this fixes the "Office 365 Problem".
^^^sorry I had the reply open for a while before I hit Submit!
According to KM that code indicates a bad MFBS Board.
Yeah to my knowledge most of our customer machines have been converted to the new address. I actually resolved today's problem: the C454e had a self-signed certificate installed. As soon as I removed...
I'm resurrecting this thread because over the past week or 2 I've had customers all over the place with 'e' machines now failing with Office365. Anybody else seeing this? As I type this I'm at a...
Have you tried turning sleep mode off altogether? In service mode, under System 1, there should be a "Sleep Mode On/Off" choice setting. Turn that on, and then in admin mode under the system settings...
I would also like to extend my thanks - this is the only useful bit of information I was able to find for a Jamex install we're doing right now. It gave me exactly what I needed.
They seem to be getting better and better with the new firmware updates, but I still have an interesting one (might make a new thread for this problem):
If a user prints from IE9 and the printer...
After seeing this thread I went ahead and bought a USB-powered switch on eBay, and 2 days later another tech showed me his method:
Use a USB-to-ethernet dongle and just bridge the connection to...
In the past couple weeks I've had several XX4 non-e copiers stop working with Office365. Something is definitely going on. There's a thread in the Connectivity forum that suggests that MS has been...
Is the system time on the copier correct? I've seen this cause issues in some cases.
I've also had some customers that have it randomly stop working, and then it starts working again after they...
Well it looks like when the drivers were updated to 4.1.0.0 on the server, the network PC's didn't pull the new driver. We deleted the print queues off the server, completely removed the drivers,...
I loaded the latest PCL driver on my laptop and had the issue occur. I'll see if I can convince their IT guy to install the PS driver on the server.
Thanks!
For some reason the thread I started the other day only opens in "Printable View?"
Anyway, here's a copy/paste:
I have a customer with 2 C654e's in the same building, and both are producing...
