Problem Identified. Found a broken left door locking tab. Transfer roller not pressing well against the drum to drive paper through.

Scans Ok. Its a print issue. All A3 prints affected. A4 only trailing 1.5inch slightly affected.

A new Dev unit solved my problem.

Happens to both copies and prints. Internal prints using U089 equally faint. Changed Charger unit in vain. Transfer roller springs Ok.

I bought KM-5050 used. Produces faint copies from day 1 I received it.
Even at +3 density, the copies are still not satisfactory. Tried New Toner -same result.

Print head was the problem.

That is not TestPrint. It is a glass copy with the copyboard open, Cross-feed.
Test prints present the same result.

I wouldn't rush to a screw driver before trying with fingers first. i.e Attempt to clear the code first in service mode, then if it fails, take out the fixing unit.
