It seems from the article that Ricoh and Toshiba are merging as well.
This is probably the way of things now since the photocopier market is stagnant but other technologies are emerging that...
Also switch engine switch 13 (I series A3 models only) to on and reboot.
It has to be said that these settings are not specifically to extend the fuser life but to help stop poor fusing.
...
I would suspect the waste box is faulty.
Check the paddle, visible from the waste toner inlet, is moving up and down correctly.
Ive had quite a few fail and the toner doesn’t get drawn into the...
Be careful with 8 series dev units in i series machines.
You need to swap the front bracket, including the bearing, from the old unit to the new one.
The bearings is a different size and the...
During the toner shortage we were using 8 series in i series (including the a4 models) and vice versa with absolutely no problems whatsoever.
It may or may not be slightly different in...
I take that spring off and tension it manually. The strength of that spring is ridiculous. The belt only needs to move the mirrors, not the flipping Titanic😀.
The upper limit sensor for the feed roller (not the out of paper sensor) is going faulty on that tray. Had quite a few do this.
Also this fault can be associated with paper feed jams as the tray...
Anytime above 250k. I don’t have a more specific count because after I had the first few do it, I started putting light oil on the bushes at every visit.
I’ve also had the frame crack on the...
Check the long black roller that sits on the exit unit above the fuser. I’ve had problems with these wearing or the bushes seizing on them.
When it codes up, remove the relevant toner and open the shutter to the hopper. If it’s empty, you’ll either have a soiled sensor under the hopper or the paddle in the hopper has come adrift. This...
Those thing are full of plastic on plastic bushes that can squeak or make a noise like that.
Lubricate every bushing and roller you can find (especially in the exit section).
I use an aerosol...
All of the above❗️
There most certainly a procedure for replacing an mfp board.
I would suggest you obtain a manual and follow the instructions in it.
KM are fussy when it comes to fitting used boards!
Looks more like a cyan issue to me.
Have you cleaned the print head glasses using the tool in the front door.
Also if you could post the halftone test prints at 125 density, that would help.
Does it have a card reader or other ancillary plugged into the usb ports?
My latest information says to try setting fuser temp to +10 and turning off smart fusing control in Tech Rep.
Hi all.
I'm having trouble setting up scan to email using office 365.
I started off with server connect errors but got rid of those and now have the TX forward failure error in the job log.
...
The environment sensor can fail on the i series A3 range causing this type of damage, although it seems unlikely that multiple machines would fail simultaneously.
Looking at the scans I would think your transfer belt is worn out and needs replacing and possibly the black drum as well.
Some idea of the consumables life would be useful.
I know you’ve binned the machine now, but in case anyone else reads this, I’ve had the operation panel cause these not to boot up.
If I remember correctly, there was a modified scanner assembly to stop the lamp assembly catching on the framework and causing this code.
I think I would be asking what they are copying,...
You should be able to select mixed original somewhere on the panel. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen one of these but it’s probably under the original size tab somewhere.
Different clutch but the procedure is the same. I’ve done quite a few over the years.
Generally speaking if the machine has a lcc (tray 3) on it, it doesn’t happen so much.
I had lots of schools with only the basic two trays, and with them filling and refilling t1 so much I guess the...
