If both devices are configured the same I would check the Embedded License assignment
As far as i'm aware there is nothing, as all these systems are used for machine billing not user I doubt it will ever be a feature
If this is an MP2550B it wont print or scan as this is a "Basic" model unless it has had the print/scan option fitted. Doing a memory clear will just bring you a whole heap of problems in the future

Yes it will as long as Bonjour and IPP are enabled on the copier, as far as user side they just need to be connected to the same wireless network as the copier
Sometimes Fiery's do weird and wonderful things but it does sound like you have a partial connection issue between the device and controller
Normally I would advise shutting down both the device...
