Some weeks later now and the machine seems to work fine still.
Let's hope it stays like that.

I took the print-drum safety switch out to open it and disassembled and cleaned the fragile parts...

    Hello,

which switch is activated, besides the drum-safety switch, upon installing a drum in a RP 3790?
I'm trying to locate this switch to check why my drums are not installed correctly.

Re: RP 3790 - (D01-547) Safety Switch Problem

To test if any of the parts sticking out in the drive section of the machine would hinder the drum from installing, I've put a tiny blob of ink on the parts that were sticking out the most (8mm dia,...

Re: RP 3790 - (D01-547) Safety Switch Problem

    Thanks for the replies.
It was a D01-547 code and I took the print-drum safety switch out, checked it and placed it back.
    It started to work better.

Now I had the error while the drum was...

    RP 3790 - (D01-547) Safety Switch Problem

    Hello,

Does anyone know what to do about the "Set drum in place" D01-547 error?

Since a while I had to give most drums an extra push to install them correctly, but I never imagined something...
  8. Re: Riso RP - Master Mis-Feed problem in one color drum

It seems that the problem is solved.
I removed the screen and drum body and did a good cleaning.

The clamp that locks the drum in 0 position was a bit loose, so I added a washer there.
    The drum...

    two pictures:

The detailed picture shows the dots of the plastic and metal gears aligning together. You can see the axis of the flange drive gear slightly out of its 6 o'clock position.

    In the...
  10. Re: Riso RP - Master Mis-Feed problem in one color drum

    Thanks for your answer.

I will post a picture in the morning.

Standing in front of the machine the drum needs to be turned counterclockwise.
Locked, the drum is at a (less than) 07:05...

    Thanks for your reply.

Those little white rings don't seem to be broken, still rotate freely and keep the clamp plate at its place.
Physically the clamp plate looks fine, just like the clamp...

    Hi,

Making a master on my red drum results in an error message "Master disposal problem. Pull out print-drum and discard master."

Riso RP 3790: disjoin paper feed tray?

    Hello,

Is it possible to separate the multi tray and the printer to be able to transport a RISO RP 3790?

It has to go upstairs but in it's entirety it is too big and too heavy.

    Thanks...
