If you are lucky, could be a loose connection between print engine controller board and primary board, both located under the right side cover. Otherwise the print engine board needs replacement.

The K unit may have an obstruction. Try printing a page with black text and one color character and see if the black text is OK. Had the same problem with MC561, the plastic thing that lifts...
