So i have tried every mode and even clearing this error tried forcing firmware and still cant get that to work get light blinking looks like its working but never finishes

As said above it is the same Drum for Both the L and Non L model and the part number is A2VG0Y0 DU 104 I get mine direct from Konica minolta

Generally for us we just do Physical format and that is good enough for SS and other Government and other medical requirements and as it could be an option
just go into tech mode and look and see...

Most of the 4 series have scan to email issues and i know there is a firmware downgrade and upgrade
to fix this problem but cant remember all the software and steps.
