As far as scanning goes there is on more thing to consider. I just found out yesterday that Microsoft updates are disabling TLS 2.0 which is disrupting scanning, especially with Office 365. I...
By the way, I meant to mention in the original post that after replacing the controller board I still had the light copies. It was then that I found that MC setting. I had also replaced the LSU...
I thought I'd give you guys a head up on this one. Extremely light copies, text barely able to see. Pull out the main charge assembly and run a copy. If it comes out solid black, which would...
Hmm, you're right. I guess they stopped sharing the link. Here's a dropbox link, see if you can download it from that:

I'm not able to attach the bulletin or the sound file but it you have access to the Kyocera tech site the bulletin is this: QA_I039_2LV_0102_SB. Might be handy for future reference.
You might check out the drum unit. I find that it's a source of noise more often than the dev unit. Also, there is a bulletin on squeaking coming from these units from the dev or reg clutches. ...
All I can say is that at our dealership we have been instructed not to attempt replacement. One of our techs a while back attempted this repair and after 8 hours and gutting the machine to the frame...
I concur with sparkycivic. I had this issue with a 6501i that drove me crazy. It only happened while duplexing. The problem was a rusty middle roller clutch. After replacing the clutch I haven't...
Have you tried setting up a local user and properly sharing it to the folder? I have found that using the user the customer sets up (the Microsoft users) doesn't work.
This has been my experience.
I just had this code on a TA6500i. Updating the firmware took care of this one.
I may be way off base here, but I had several similar situations with a Ricoh products. Try this: Lift up on the front left corner of the scanner while making the copy and see if it changes the...
I can attest to this SP setting.
Long ago when I started to service these line of Ricoh copiers I just automatically changed the settings of this SP to max.
I agree that the hinge could be the issue. I had this once but on mine someone installed the wrong hinge . It was doing exactly as you describe.
You might also want to check/clean/replace the one-way bearings. Is it the same jam code when it jams or does it vary? What is the jam code?
You don't give to many details. I assume this is a black print issue. In addition to what was already mentioned you could be dealing with a faulty drum unit or transfer unit among other things. If...
If the firmware is where it should be there is another thing you might try. I don't know if this holds true for Ricoh products but the area I work in now is mostly populated with Kyocera products. ...
Thanks! I may never need this but it's nice to have in your back pocket. I found out it also works on the 520i.
