And I apologize for not being hip to the jive. My previous job with copiers were all Xerox, and I was essentially the equivalent of a scribe to a composer. I stripped them down to clean them and...

Thanks for the additional input. The yellow was replaced about 6 weeks ago along with the waste container. I'm sourcing parts right now, none of the copy places in town deal in Sharp at all... joy...
Thanks. The yellow was replaced recently by the company we leased it from. We own it now, but it's going to be replaced in the near term so I'm just trying to keep Bessie alive for a few more months....
Would someone mind posting a picture of the drum in new condition and worn condition? The old machines I used to work on had great big black cylinders that we'd just polish... the tech has improved...
So there's toner, toner, everywhere. Brushed everything carefully away, put it back together, used the cleaning roller and the cleaning felt pad, and if anything, it's worse!
Any color copies or...

Seems plausible. After cleaning the machine, it's OK for a bit, but then the problem returns.
I'll have a look. I don't have any optical polish to clean off any smudges I make, so I'll do my...

Hello again!
Same machine, different woes. Copying works great. Fax confirmations come out clean.
Anything sent to print results in lines of blue across the page. I see blue toner on the wide...
Moderator please delete this thread. It was an inadvertent duplicate. Apologies.
Yeah. The eye parked southeast of San Antonio (a 3 hour drive from here) and then spun a bunch of rain up here as it used the last of its energy. Trillions of gallons. I-45 is underwater. Pretty...
Yes. Killeen and Ft. Hood are essentially entwined. We're fine this far north, some roads got closed in Austin, and it's really Houston and the coast in trouble.
No doubt. In this case I was just too ignorant of the different components to know to even check the finisher. But thanks to the community pointing me in the right direction....
Holy balls. Checked the wiring harness for the finisher after reviewing the finisher install guide per the above suggestion, and it was knocked loose. Lol.
Well, I scored with an ID10T error...
Using my context clues, lol, it seems like the copier has been recognizing a finisher and disabling the OSM, but recently began to think that no finisher was installed and the fixer plate is causing...
I'm going to be a little dense here. You're going to have to help me out, as it's been several years since I've done this as my day job, and it's my first time working on a Sharp, although I do have...
I have done so. It moves freely outside of the machine. It moves without binding with the motor installed as well, but I can feel the resistance of the permanent magnet motor.
There looks to be...
Hello and good morning. I'm working on Sharps for the first time and really struggling. I'm getting an L4-11 code with a tested good PCU PWB and tested good OSM motor. The motor runs when I run a...
My name is Jeff Hogan. I have worked for Kirbo's in the past, cleaning and rebuilding machines for rental. Fun times. Not my day job anymore, but I still love to tinker and fix.
So I've been working on a Sharp MX-5111n. First I thought the OSM motor was fried, odd for a stepper motor to go out. Tested good, and it runs when I hit a 6-1. SHPOS is working as expected.
I've...
