No. It doesn't respond to the buffer lid being opened/closed. I've been suspecting that for some reason it's not supplying power to the buffer pass.
We tried replacing the buffer pass unit with a new OEM part, as this was the part giving us trouble. Figured it may have worn out or something. After replacing the unit, it still has the same issue....
