Service mode may be different than other Canons?
for 1022 = Enter the Service mode. (Main Menu > 2 > 8 > Main Menu)

How does one un-attach the finisher? The older ones you took the two screws on the back of top cover and opened up to unscrew the hold downs on the metal pariot beaks.
