In my case it was a pro 7100 with same symptom, after replacing the 4 charge rollers and cleaned everything, the only thing that fixed it was replacing the color drums.

The cause of this is your LED lamp for the erase are blocked with toner, reach in behind the drums and make sure they are clean. I hope this will help.
In my case it was the contact were bent for the cyan toner and had to replace the PCB BRD in the back of the toner bottles. Good luck it's quite a job.
