i would guess it does not matter if its a different fiery. the calibration is supposed to make them all the same. so long as the print settings are also identical.

theoretically they should look the same. but there is always slight variations from device to device.

the only other way to try cloning a hd is doing a dd image using clonezilla. it will do a 1 to 1 sector copy of the drive including free space. it usually works but will take much longer.

i ordered the cleaning assembly. also i noticed that the smudges show up on the transfer belt before to curls underneath. could it be from a wavy transferbelt?

i did take the lower metal cover off of the itb but i was not looking for this issue at the time. but i did clean...

i will check again but i did get in there and vacuum it. the toner ends up on the back side of the blade and smears on the itb. which then causes the quick gradation test to make everything light....

You would need the software disks that came with the fiery. You can change the password so someone may have at some point. The factory default would have been administrator Fiery.1

Try a blank password. Does that come up after clicking utility?

Did you try with F or f in fiery?

Try under settings, printer preferences, utility? I have not worked with this one and am guessing. But it's oddly not under network settings as it's a "print server" so it's under printer settings....

do you have a menu for printers that's not in the system menu? on my C5180 there is a setting under a printers tab.

there should be a setting under printer settings. because there is an imagepass you have to set the ip address there.

Where could one obtain system disk for the fiery? would Canon still supply them or would calling EFI be a better option?
