Yeah, the fuser counter is reset by the fuse blowing in a new unit. An old unit will already have the fuse blown, so it won't reset the count. A new fuser unit should work fine.

You mean the engineering access code ? No, you can't have it. :p
Working for me again after they reset my account. I like this message from them: "Our records indicate that you were inadvertently locked out today." Nice way of saying 'we messed up'. *chuckles*
Yeah, I followed what the site said and it locked my account. Great.
There is a little adjustment that can be made to the sep roller tension. Just had to do that on one last week. Some of the customer's paper would multi-feed in the DF, some wouldn't. Depended on...
I've only had one instance where the customer was using the copier as a scanner enough that we charged them for scans. It was charged at 1 mil per scan.
I've seen this too. Usually just taking some scotch bright to roughen the shafts where the one-way's ride takes care of it. Though I've had to replace the one-ways a couple times.
I'd expect a C353 to be quicker at printing simply due to a faster/more modern processor on the controller. The additional memory is a plus as well. How much quicker, it's hard to say. But yeah, a...
420's were enough of a problem in the field that we had stopped selling them. The problems have pretty much been what's already been mentioned - toner system, fuser drive, and light copy quality.
Thank brent, that helps ! :)
Not knowing the actual size of the file being printed it's hard to say for sure, but yes it could take that long. I suspect that the files are taking alot of time...
I'm confused - is the issue with scanning or printing ? (Subject says scanning, but you mentioned Ripping the file, sounds like printing)
Either way though, 11 x 17 full color maps is alot of...
Not sure why you replaced the control panel. The Controller Board is more likely where the problem is at, especially since you tried replacing the wire harness. I'd try reseating all connectors on...
Could be a number of reasons. Might need to update the login/password info so that it will validate via the new server. And if you're scanning to SMB to Win2003 server you may need to enable SMB in...
*chuckles*
I didn't realize the connection to Montana Tech till after I created this account. Then wondered if/when anyone would notice it. I didn't go there myself though. Got my degree down...
We've been looking at options for DM as well. Had presentations on DocRecord and Doculex, and will probably go with the latter.
I was at a Kyocera dealer when Kyocapture first came out. At that...
Woke to a balmy -15 F this morning, and it 'warmed' up to -2 F. At least my car started right up this morning, it didn't want to yesterday at -24 F.
I had more problems with the Internal Finisher than anything else on these.
Had a couple drum units that were warped, so they wouldn't slide into place. I've also seen a few (new) damaged...
Yeah, my first impression is: "Thank God, a replacement for the 2550 !" Time will tell though.
We were given $20/month for use of our own (personal) cell phones, last place I worked. Currently one, I'm provided a Blackberry (cells for the techs - I'm Office Manager at the new gig).
That's the first I've seen them. Keep us up on their quirks, I expect we'll need to know by sometime next year.
