BH-C-284e, offsetting. When printing only one single color, but not black, the colored part of the image is visible as a black offset on the print. Replacing the K-drum unit solves the problem, so...
I had once similar with a BH-C-284e using after market K-toner.

Got from a wholesaler an almost brand new ECOSYS P2040dn. Machine is booting up normal but when picking up paper making a shaving noise and showing Call Service 2000:0006256.
I have the Tech Manual...
I clean them blowing out with air then pulling the corner of a light rag through it and then soak the rag with Isopropanol, turning the one-way back and forth. If they are over 300K I replace them. I...
Thanks guys.
How does this printer know when the toner cartridge is empty? Chips, sensors?
Hans
Customer has loads of ink cartridges for the Canon iPF710. They are unused and in the original packing. Stored and protected from light and heat very well, but are however in storage for over 3...
Would be interesting to know why they got blown. In the old days, in general most PU's were suffering from dry or blown caps. I repaired a zillion monitors and TV's because of that.

Not being a KyoGuy I have two questions about the fuser of the ECOSYS P2040dn.
1) Is it worth the trouble to replace the film only with after market films?
2) Any instructions please how to...
YEP!
That's the solution.
Thanks CopyTechTrouble and thanks to all the other guys for their input.

Synth, the procedure you describe I cannot find in the manual nor with Pagescope. In the Pagescope machine interface there is an empty list allowing 10 subject entries, but there is no button to set...
Thanks TSB. That is not working either.
Somewhere in the machine once has been entered "CAN-C-284e" resulting in that the machine sends scans to e-mail addresses with a subject line: Message from...
Thanks Synth, but I'm looking where to change the SUBJECT, not the senders e-mail address
Hans
Mails made with the scan>e-mail function are having the subject: "Message from CAN-C-284e" I looked around but cannot find the place where to alter this. Any help please?

LOL, NO!
It is a childish way from my side to ridicule all those silly announces like "Made With My iPhone xyz" or "Made with my Android ABC" etc.
I'm using W10/11 in my computers with iCore...
Look at the lower back of this 3rd tray unit. There is a tiny hole where you can put a very long pin (knitting needle...) to unlock the tray mechanically. It needs some poking to hit the unlock...
BH-C-284e coming from a wholesaler with C-4802.
Machine boots up normal showing all the usual shark fins and comes to a complete ready for a few seconds than C-4802 pops up.
What to do....
Thanks, but the rather steep learning curve is going slightly over my head at the moment for this particular single customer only.
In my own office, I use an automatic backup with Acronis to NAS...
This is going into directions not intended by me. Thank you all for your input, guys.
I decided to have those two 2TB disk mirroring and as an offsite backup I will use the, since years proven,...
W11, using the build in Disk Mirroring a good idea, or is it better to use a NAS with RAID?
I have on this computer a 500gig SSD for the operating system and two identical 2TB Hard drives for all...
Customer has a BH-4000p which a few times a day prints gibberish using W11/64. See attached sample. When I saw this, my first thought was “driver”. Strangely, it does this only when printing...
Great site, thanks!

Anyone having for me please the service manual and parts manual for the Lexmark MX521?
Hans
Had exactly the effect SalesServiceGuy described by a recent install, and it drove me nuts in the beginning. I used as always the Settings from the Start Menu.......

I recall that a long time ago there was a very similar problem with the ancient Di-183 machines. A very fine, sharp line coming up from time to time. Minolta told us those days that it's a bug in the...
