Are you talking about that part of my post that's says " I see some online" That would be me looking at available options, PR, Google, eBay.
I would prefer to give a fellow tech a few dollars and...
I delivered a MP 3054 to a customer last week their IT hooks up everything in the offices.
I get a call from them telling me they can't connect to the printer to print.
Turns out they are ALL using...
Too funny...I have a Tupperware container in my tool bag.
Every time I open it I cuss this crazy spring that pops out.
Guess what spring I'm talking about...just went out and checked, YUP I had...
Is that the spring that hooks to levers attached to the lift motor.
I remember a 3-4 inch long spring...possibly loops on each end?
Jeff
I can hear the lift motor moving in 1/2 second movements until it settles in. But if you bump the machine or run paper out of Tray 1 it starts the movements again and starts taking paper from Tray...
I'm back onsite and installed the new PSU.
I reset the SC 547 and rebooted again.
It looks like it's fully powering up until late in the boot cycle and the SC547 returns. So there are additional...
Just got back from this call. Certainly feels fishy that this happens with electrical work going on.
But, the customer is happy with me and knows this isn't my or the machines fault.
They may try...
Friday a great machine... Tuesday SC 547 and a blown 15a fuse on the PSU. The customer has had a electrician in the building since last week and he worked all weekend. Now suddenly there's a SC 547...
These 2 units are for a couple of basic use customers.

I have sourced main bcu board in case nothing else works (haven't purchased yet)....
Parts Manual shows a BCU board D120 5122...same thing?
Yes, the thread is 2 weeks old. Also the unit is a MP 2852 (my bad)
SO a follow up...
Reinstalled latest firmware (checked all the boxes). Tested, still has a SC 990 error after sitting idle...
After an "Auto Off Timer" The machine now throws a SC990.
Reboot and everything is great and works. But after any auto off I get the sc990.
I'm right at the point that I'm thinking controller...
I was just reminded that we had to check boxes to start with, indicating what modules we wanted to update.
We checked them all.
Jeff
Just ran out to the shop...I had left it to run and it had a SC990 displayed.
I also reset SP 5875-001 to 1...it was 0.
Also when we did the firmware update, it was a SD card with a package on...
Just had this same thing happen last week. SD card took a dump and we reloaded on to a new SD card. Updated smooth as silk after that.
Sadly the firmware update didn't help mine.

I've been working on mostly Ricoh's for 15+ years and I always call in help when it comes to Firmware upgrades.
Way too easy to brick a machine or screw up the update.
So the once in every 2-3...
Try number 3 on this post...lost the first 2 into forum hell...LOL
Ok went to a call today on a SP C831DN. Never seen of one before today.
Had to beg and bribe several people to get the secret...
I was told that after 330K the unit will not respond to a counter reset.
But that it would have to have a "new" fusing unit to reset the counters.
I have read the reset counters procedure but...
Hello everyone,
I'm a pretty seasoned Ricoh copier tech, but have limited knowledge of the Ricoh printer line.
My old church has a SPC831DN that they tried to squeeze every copy/print from and...
