Looks like the laser unit isn't in properly
If that model has a button for removing date/time stamp, check it. Otherwise just rename on your pc.
Clean the laser glasses, they are behind the cartridges. If the laser light gets blocked, it prints lighter. Then if it still prints light, you need a new cartridge.
For the older machines that didn't support smb v2/3, the special firmware automatically turns on smb v2/3 and turns off smb v1. Note, once special firmware is installed you can not upgrade regular...

Seems to me if firmware is loaded on usb and you enter download mode, there is a password clear listed...as well although i have never needed it.
Some fusers engage and disengage the fuser rollers, they won't turn easily by hand when engaged. Try releasing the fuser rollers and installing unit.
Try a new ITB ass'y and outer 2nd transfer roller
The one sample showed yellow bands which looks like a mechanical issue. Maybe the dev unit isn't rotating properly? Write a line with a black marker on both the drum and dev mag roller and see if...
Very common to see this. Clean the optics, mirrors, scratch the glue off the bottom mirror to slide out for cleaning. Then do white level calibration x4

Only 2 things can cause dots like that. Contaminated charge roller or a blob of toner on Dev unit mag roller.
check if set to imperial instead of metric
