Hello all, I've been out of the copier repair business for nearly 10 years at this point and it looks like finding Kyocera firmware is impossible if you're not a tech and I ain't one anymore.
Just...
Yeah just a little outside my price range but it's still something to consider. Thanks for the suggestion!
I can smell what the Rock is cooking!
I had a similar case before. Looking to...
I used to carry around a big tool box around with me with everything in it but I really don't need to carry everything anymore at my current position so I've been looking around for some kind of...
Just in case anyone wanted to know how the fix went, it was not the fuser. Secondary transfer belt got out of place somehow causing a clicking noise and ghosting. Got that back in place, also cleaned...
I don't think any Ledger paper will be used in this machine but good to know. Thanks!
Good to know! I had training on Sharps for less than a month but I'm certain I've seen this before in a black and white model. I'll be sure to keep an eye out for that!
Thanks for the tip!
Thank you!!! :)
Hey guys,
I've been out of the copier world for nearly a year now but looks like I'll be working on a MX-4100N at my new job for now. I have very little training on Sharp machines and I was...
I could use a service manual for a Sharp MX-4100N.
Thanks in advance!
Good point. Just thought I'd see what others had to say. Sharp is one of the few brands of copier I have almost never touched. At least I've never worked on anything than table top Sharps. Thanks for...
I'm switching employers next week and they're going to train me on Sharp machines. All copiers at their core are pretty similar so I'm not concerned that I'll have any problems with them.
Maybe...
It happens around both black and color high-fill areas.
Thanks again for the response!
I've tried B&W prints and it did it on that too. The shadows show up around any high-fill area. I don't feel like it's an issue with the transfer belt for this...
Thanks for the response!
I replaced all the parts in the 240k maintenance kit today and the problem is still there and possibly worse. Hard to say exactly because it does vary slightly and I only...
Hey Everyone,
On the second side of any document there are smudges/shadows around the boarders of high fill areas. I had the opposite (missing fill in high fill areas) of this problem awhile back...
What jam code are you getting? How many pages on the machine?
You may want to check the actuator in the inverting section. The inverting section is just below the side door. Two screws to remove...
Sorry, I forgot to update this post. The noise on my machine ended up coming back and I tore it down to the frame on the right side (when looking at it from the front) and then took off that piece of...
There's software to do this from Kyocera but I couldn't figure out how to make it work. Haven't messed with it in awhile and I don't remember what it was called. Sorry.
Also, if I'm remembering...
It's 4 zeros on the older models. It was the newer 80 series that started using 8 zeros I believe.
I believe #2 (Name) and #3 (Number) are the ones you want. The naming is a bit odd now that I think about it.
Here's a printout from an 8060 in our shop for reference. Newer model but still the...
Have you tried replacing the battery? It's on the left side of the control panel. There's a screw you remove and then you can take it out.
Could also be a hidden E4-02 code. I've seen the older versions of these machines have this code but just show "add paper" on the display. Try resetting the fuser code in F9 and see what happens.
So, probably a result of the non-OEM drums? Figures.
Thanks to everyone for the responses!
I've seen this a few times now. I have/had several 8060s that would have dots etched into the drums. It almost seems to me like there was arcing between the main charge and the drum. Well, at least...
