KMAconnect actually has the service manual: http://www.kmaconnect.com/dnetpub/jsp/Kyocera/default.jsp?refpath=/dnetpub/jsp/Kyocera/ResourceDetails.jsp?rid=2293
It looks like scanner home position...
That seems strange. Have you tried hooking up your laptop directly to the copier and pinging it and scanning SMB?
Is batch print turned on? (It's good, but that's why it will wait til the end to print out the whole fax)
Does Status say anything useful about the fax job, like how many pages long it is?
I meant that installing a finisher looks really annoying.
"and remove this cover to get access to that cover,
and remove that cover to get access to this cover,
and remove this cover to get access to that cover,

It's in the drum unit, and it can be emptied, but I find it more annoying than emptying the 1820 (which often lasted 70k-80k).
One customer broke the dev cover somehow, so now I have them leave the dev unit inside the machine. The unlock mechanism is better than the 1820, but there's just not enough room in there.
Waste...
Newer Mac OS X 10.5 10.6 driver so you don't need the permission fix.
Some Kyoceras disable 600dpi color scanning until its memory is maxed out. The 2560 comes with 512MB, and the max is 1GB. It takes common, old computer memory (DDR1 I think); you can look at the...
I just jam a penny between the top of the toner bottle and the machine to get it to stay in. The part that breaks is really hard to replace.
Are the cyan spots usually towards the left and right...
Play with U068. I set one to -30 and haven't had a call in a week (-15 wasn't enough). You might have to adjust lead edge U071. Normally, 3140s don't let you access U068, so unless you have the...
I've never managed to get a Kyocera to scan to SMB without a login (for a public or anonymous share), but that was in the KM-1820 days when it didn't even store passwords. Their recommendation was to...
Have you tried updating firmware?
Clearly the copier believes the students should be connecting the dots instead of writing sentences.
That looks familiar, but I can't remember where I saw it. I'd start with electrical and high...
Have you tried port 587? The server I use listens to that port as well as 25, so I tend to use it all the time to get around a blocked port 25.
As far as comcast goes, I've only had issues with...
Have you tried KM-Net Direct Printing? Sometimes the KX driver just hates me and I have to export/print to pdf and send that directly to the printer. Unfortunately if it works, explaining business...
Gmail requires TLS (aka SSL) encryption, but no Kyocera scanner supports that. A local email relay should work.
Running U130 will reset the developer count for you. If you replace the drum after 400k, the machine is smart enough to reset the drum counter. If it's less than 400k, it won't reset the drum...
I should clarify on connectivity. Printing is easy on everything. Setting up scanning on the older machines can get frustrating. The manuals never really helped me. I even had a customer teach me...
Falcons are awesome. KM-2530/3530/4030, KM-3035/4035/5035, KM-3050/4050/5050, TASKalfa 420i/520i are all Falcons. The 2nd generation was the best.
The big machines (KM-6030/8030, TASKalfa 620/820)...
It should be a Kyocera since the maintenance modes are the same, but it definitely has a Ricoh look to it. And looking like a Ricoh doesn't bring happy memories whereas looking like a Falcon 2 would....
Are you using Firefox? The NS-30 only likes Internet Explorer.
Wavy prints is usually a failing laser, but with every Falcon laser issue: replace the main charge first.
No Kyocera machine supports SSL/TLS email scans. You'll have to use a local relay such as Argosoft or hMailServer.
