check in service mode if test print is ok and facing problem in copying only , just check CCD ,as i also faced similar problem .

have u check ram it should be at least 192 mb as you said Machine starts, Canon logo displayed and half of progress bars fills ,it seems ram prob 128 mb ,because Acronis True Image works .

I had tried all the remedies suggested by all of you ,but there is a same problem.
I even interchanged whole Fuser assembly, problem is persist in same machine,faulty...

Are you trying to print pdf files through adobe reader 9 ver. if yes ,open file in 7 ver and see is problem solved ? because i faced same in ir6000

if you have 5000i hd ,clone first and then put in u r 5000 machine and install firm ware of 5000 itself without formating in service support tool u will find mailbox storage increased
