Quick thought. Have you set the bypass to thick paper or labels in the tray paper settings ? Is if is non defined on the tray paper settings it will expect 80gsm so will bring up a double feed.
If it pulls from the standard weight trays if the bypass is empty and you have specified thick paper it screams to me of a driver issue or settings on the MFD or driver conflicting
Have you tried the new new feed tyres, back to the harder compound but with a very deep tread as such. AF031098 and AF032098. Pickup roller is the same but feed and reverse are an almost purple color...

Sounds like a faulty switch if input is showing them open. Try removing switch and use a paperclip to close the circuit on the connector to test if it is the switch or not.
When you enabled administrator auth did you then select all the areas to be restricted ? if you don't select what you want restricted then everything will still be open.
are they using the proper branded toner ? what is the current PM counter showing for the drum unit ?
The drum has a PM life of 60k and so if it is over that could cause problems.
Is the printer potion SD card still in the controller slot ?

Hmm, The only other thing I can think of is possibly a dodgy door switch, if one is twitchy you wont get a door open but it can stop toner loading after toner near end or end conditions.
