Window's has a habit of installing the "Ricoh class driver"(which is garbage) with a WSD port...
remote firmware will be a .rfu
sd card firmware will be .fwu
There is no SMBv2/v3 for this model. It's old enough they might not release any firmware for it as they just released smbv2/v3 firmware for the MPC4502/5502 machines...
just need to take the nvram from the old controller and put it on the new one then enter factory sp and make sure all the serials under 5811 match...you'll probably have to change one.

There's custom firmware for scanning to server 2012 which should also work for server 2016.

also check the scanner journal isn't full. we usually set it to do not print delete oldest...
Turn it on through control panel > programs > programs and features > turn windows features on or off
Make sure SMB1 is on. IIRC new win 10 installs have it off by default.
you can check using windows powershell with the get-smbserverconfiguration command

per the customer we have to securely erase the hdd. we have a device thats similar to dban that prints out a label with the drive info stating the erasure method etc...
so...
After erasing the HDD what is required and what is the procedure for reloading firmware?
