The fuse that is being blown is fuse F1 on the DC Power Supply PCB (main) ... The result is loss...

Replaced the PCU PWB with a service part (used one from our bone yard) and code stayed gone :D

Bars were still there so I replaced the LCD and it all good now...

I have a 287 that has a E7-00 code

I checked the MC unit for correct seating, also checked CN2 for broken wires or pin damage. I called Sharp and they said to replace the ICU PWB. Went to order...

Well... replacing the ICU PWB fixed the problem... still not sure what the code meant but at least it's fixed... :)

Well, we have an ImageRunner 2020 that is throwing a E0196 code? I have searched the service manual for this code with no luck finding out what it is???

Just an update on the machine... about three weeks ago I replaced the motherboard.... so far so good!! Knock on wood***

The motherboard also houses the DC-DC converter as mentioned as the possible...

OOPS.... sorry... wrong machine... hehe

I had this same thing happen to one (at least once a week) and after researching it, I found this Tech bulletin (AR-235-046R) ... Done what it said and it hasn't happened since... (6 months ago)
