Had a C450i with a noisy exit - ran it whilst pushing down the lower exit rollers, so that they weren't turning - the squeak stopped, stripped down the exit unit completely, cleaned and lubed...
set up "user authentication" - put the password/user name into the print driver, then set up "Public user" on the device, so they don't need a password
I'm guessing that when you moved it, what ever part is indicated as open, opened during the move - so close it :)
TBH, I'm not sure that'll make much difference - it's due to the quality of the belts - they're crap, as I said before, it's the same part no on the previous series, but the quality is completely...
I'm assuming the toner is the same, aftermarket DV units will apparently fit the "e" series, "8" series and the "i" series
Yep - same part no - different quality. Don't you have to remove the motor to fit the belt, then tighten the screws once it's in place
less secure apps stopped working a while ago, we had all of our customers, who use gmail, fail within a week of each other - luckily we were prepared and sent them instructions on setting up an app...
it's actually easy to do, it works well, but if you change the gmail password, it deletes the app password. technically you can only use the app password for 1 device, however on the KM, if you use...
Seems to be the easiest, and possibly the obvious choice
as far as I know, you have to use the marketplace installer to remove devices, you'll need the IP, admin password, and the username/account that set it up, then select "Uninstall" 61768
The equivalent for the DF629 in the i-series is DF632 - whether it'd work, i couldn't tell you
As far as I'm aware, the previous owner needs to remove it from their account - probably should've been done before they gave it back
That's what i thjought, but we've got a few customers who can't find that in their drivers
Hi
Can anybody give me the info on how to set up ID & Print to a KM device, from the latest MAC OS. I have a guide, which is years old, and doesn't help anymore
Cheers
I'd update FW, and make sure the function version matches
In the "Quick reference parts guide" it states "Life: copies or minutes" it has all of the drums units, transfer units/rollers as "minutes" not copies
bizhub C368 DR313 C,M,Y Drum Unit A7U40TD...
Do you have access to Infohub, parts manuals are normally in the logistics section
10 minutes easy :D, I've been known to remove the main drive, replace a gear in it, reassemble the machine and get a print out with 40 minutes....been doing this job so long, and repaired so many, I...
I forgot about Dahle, I've worked on a few, they appear to be a good make.
I would recommend removing the PH unit completely, and wiping the "glass" for each one, it's literally a 10 minute job
Normally Ideal or Rexel shredders are good, both have parts available, they both have a 2 year warranty, out of the 2, i prefer to work on Ideal, as there are more parts available, and they have...
Have you cleaned the printheads, you may need to remove the unit completely to clean them properly
I agree with copyman - had a few of those fail, if you replace the bushings, replace the rubber and metal rollers - when they're bad, they're a nightmare to remove the old bushings
I agree Katun TN626K toners are rubbish - apparently to make their K toners work, you have to set fuser temp to -20, fuser speed to -20 and set warm up to mode 4 - why not just produce toners that...
