The guy inside the Lost in Space robot just passed away earlier this year!

Problem is laser unit. You may be able to disassemble, clean and lubricate the polygon motor and get it going. Haven't had great success with the Lexmarks doing this, but might get you going! ...

Have seen nothing but trouble with aftermarkets, especially Premier. Between them and the 50ND toner cartridges, they cause me a lot of service calls for bad print.

The part number is LE2949001 and the retail price for the unit from Brother is $70.64.

1. Turn on the power switch of the printer while pressing the printer control panel button
2. Release the panel button when the Drum LED comes on.
3. PRess the panel button again and release it...

The part number for the gear is UL8923001 - FU Drive Gear 20/38 and the number for the bushing is UL8908001 - HR Bearing 25. Hope this helps you out.
