Any other thoughts?

I get colored lines only when I am scanning thru the adf but only on the first side. (It is a single pass adf)
Scanning on the glass works fine. Prints are fine.
Lines are intermittent and can be...
I had a lot trouble with the image transfer belt being damaged. How close are the blur bands?
According to tech support there are no 64bit twain drivers for this model.
It looks like the problem was being caused by Java when the machine was recovering from low power mode. We turned the low power mode off on 130 machines and haven't had a single problem since then.
All firmware and Java up to latest versions available on Ricoh's website last week.
I have a large account that is replacing their fleet with MP5002's and MPC4502's. The new units are getting SC991 on a daily basis.
When the machine gets the code it sounds like the machine is...
Had a similar problem with a MPC4000. I was able to get a hold of an old control panel and that took care of it but if I had to order just one part I think I would go with the LCDC.
Will smart device monitor let me set up SP modes as well?
Does anyone know how to export settings from a machine to a computer folder and then import to other machines on the network? I have a big installation comming up of about 100 machines all the same...
Have you tried installing the driver on one of their workstations to print direct to the printer or you are just assuming it will be all right?
In the past I've seen problems with the network speed...
I had a co worker with a similar problem on a MPC7500. He told me that his solution was to clear the engine.
The customer has to buy the GlobalScan software install and set it up on a server and then a technician needs to install the firmware on the machine. It is an expensive choice. I've only seen it in...
I have a MPC7500 that has been given me this problem for 2 months. It takes a few thousand copies to happen and by the time I get there it is gone. The customer shows me a bunch of prints that are...
Sorry to state the obvious here but have you tried another toner cartridge? Had one doing that yesterday and replacing the toner cartridge fixed it. It must've been a bad chip on it.
Had the exact same problem a month ago on a MPC4000. It is your LCD.
part # AW010118, page 14 item 19.
input mode SP 5-803, Group 1, bit# 7. Check for a change of state as you block and unblock sensor.
Jam 14 means the paper was late on the fuser exit sensor not the machine exit sensor.
Maybe you are looking at the wrong sensor.
I have a large account with several of our machines and I've seen this problem before. It always turn out to be a network problem. One time I got away by setting the speed to 10 mb half duplex but...
the header say MPC4000 but the part number you are asking is for the previous model. If you meant the MPC4000 the part number is D0292252 and just filing the plug will not do it.
I would test the toner add motor in output mode and if it is working I would replace the toner end sensor. That is the sensor at the entrance of the toner hopper right under the area where toner...
There are 2 sensors related to that error. One is at the toner recycling unit and that one has a tendency to get dirty a lot. The other one is at the toner waste unit. If you are looking at the...
I agree with totoro, if nothing happens when you close the door then it is not registering the door being open and close.
What does it say when you open the front door? If I am not mistaken it...
I was there this morning and the jam counter was zero after about 4k prints. Either paper feed motor, front door interlocks or right door push switch fixed it.
Thanks everyone for their replies.
Bring your old box back and troubleshoot for the image problem swapping one component at a time. Most likely your problem will be the memory dimms or the IPU.
