If you have generic toner in this M/C you must replace the bias roler if this solves the problem (it will be instant) you must then repace the dev and then use only the OEM toner

Do yourself a favour and replace both the 2 offending fans (fuser and toner fans) they are both bad after you replace these 2 fans you will be fine.

F8 25 will do it, only reset k this will get you by untill you get your new drum when you install the new drum, it will reset like normal.

The toner is the same as far as I know, when the dev is the same then the toner is,as far as generic goes----------------don't, I never have any luck with that stuff its always a pain.

Your problem is probably with the toner support mylar (below the cleaning blade)
this leaks toner on the drum sensors under the drum (E-3 40),drum must be removed to remove mylar and clean sensors...
