lift motor has a spring on it and it floats back in forth no problem.... I changed it out anyway just in case, but I still have knocking noise because the tray lift is over driving... changed out...
HP 4700 over driving cassette two (2).....throwing 60.02.00 codes....
Replaced the Lift Drive Assy and DC Controller. Fill cassette half way and no problem, any more than 250 sheets it codes...

Yes I swapped the drums and eventually replaced all four drums..... Also swapped the yellow and magenta drum drive shafts (motor assay) thinking that the shaft holding the drum may be wrapped, note...
Nothing under the drum, installed new drums...
Replaced color Registration Assy - same result yellow skewed.... back to the drawing board...

Are you setting the paper setting for the by-pass tray....what is the weight of paper ..... type of paper .... and the error jam code ...?
