It is most likley a firmware issue. I have seen this fault many times and usually fix it by reapply nic firmware via USB but thia is not easy.

Have a look in the manuals for zero stop. I am not sure if it can be done but i would search around that phrase.

What cpc are they offering (low in the uk is .024 colour .003 mono) how much of that 1400 is service and how much lease. Is the old lease finishing or is there a settlement?
