Thanks for getting back, i've removed the drum and it stops making a noise then replaced the drum and no noise.
I have had to change two drums due to the same problem over the last couple of months....

I've inherited a Canon irc2880i and it is coming up with this error. As i dont generally deal with colour copiers i've given it a going over and this seems to be the only problem( thus far!!!!)....
