I have one giving this code at about 200k. Gear assembly etc. seems fine. It was a little dry to lubed it up. Have swapped out the transfer roller, M3 motor and PS50 sensor with known good, checked...
True, but frustrating when I already have more real work to do than I can manage. Too many games in this industry. I understand now why people hate these things.
Hello all,
Would someone be able to tell me the part number for the idler gear that drives the fuser in an Aficio MP 2550? When you remove the fuser, it is the last gear remaining on the main body...
My apologies, on my previous post I think I meant I fixed that issue on a c652 (not 654) by replacing the RU unit.
I think jam location 32 (I hate those too! customers see that and they don't...
Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I ran in to the same issue. Posting my findings hoping to save others some time/frustration.
Although I think it could and should be stated much clearer in the...
No need to replace the whole assembly Brent. I just slap some thick, smooth, shipping tape over the pad. Stickyness eliminated!
I always go with WD when I have a choice.
And yes, we always use computer store drives.
For the less educated on here, this is nonsense. I can't stand watching time/effort wasted going down the wrong road.
I swapped out an RU unit (dont know if that's the correct name) to fix this once
I recently had a machine doing this. Had a bad bulb in the UFR and wasn't coding.
While I'd rather it didn't happen, I've lost plenty of carbon tips and it's never caused an issue. Do be extremely careful, the carbon tip is on the end of a metal "spring". If you allow the spring...
What are your "usual things"? I would clean the registration clutch, pull the registration motor and make sure the shaft isn't stripped, make sure there isn't paper in the carriage and that I'm not...
I work on a lot of these.
Belly finishers suck.
Rebuild the fusers with knockoff UFR. If you can get away with raising the temp +5*C when they're young they last longer.
Drums last much...
If you hadn't switched entire feed units, I would strongly suspect the regulating block oneway slipping. I would scuff up the shaft anyway and see if it helps. Konica says to tie it up with a zip-tie...
Yes, thanks for catching that Hans, very important!
I think these are great machines. You can take the drum & developer way over if you know what you're doing. If you can get the customer to make sure they dont have a sheet between the main body and...
All fuser bulbs good?
We've had these for a long time.
Off the top of my head, seems like drums last 1.5-3x life depending on customer/application.
If you would be willing to state a price, I would be willing to try and see if my company would be willing to buy them.
Obviously yours is a superior product, I'm not questioning that.
Thanks for the update. I would have bet on the reg clutch. I will add this to my notes!
Registration clutch part # 9322 1000 81
Usually, I replace a registration clutch for other issues, such as the image not lining up with the paper. These clutches can cause funky problems that...

Re: BH 222 tray #1 jams-paper empty
I'm surprised I have not run into this earlier with all the bad tanks on these series of machines.
Why not modifying them...
For what it's worth, on my first and only experience with this code, it was the DCPU. I was able to get the machine to code more than 50% of the time as it was coming out of power save mode.
I...
I tried a 600 motor first and it did not work.
