Yep that's a hdd
If it's sitting there at the reg/ps roller, check the log for pri_jam. That would be the HDD because its trying to process the job and it will wait there for the data.
We sell the plotters and have one inkjet MFP in service, unfortunately it's in my territory. No issues really, at first had to keep reminding them to clean the heads but ok now. I've had people...
Clean that sensor really good with alcohol, I've had several machines that constantly threw that code and since using alcohol to clean I haven't seen it come back.
If that horrible microsoft photos program is being used, that is the problem. Seen it several times.
Generic toner and waste boxes are a sure fire way to cause those issues.
Wasn't there a firmware that allowed for SSL 2? Might be worth a look.
I'll second the power. Had one throwing that code with no jams, put a line monitor on and discovered tons of faults.
The trigger is actually a little tab that pops out into a sensor once the waste toner slows the auger inside of the container. Every one that we've had has the tab popped out and no message on the...
I would give them a freebie or 2, then tell them each time it happens after that they get charged T&M. I bet it stops quickly ;)
Don't bother with the pcu board. There is most definitely a problem with the waste boxes getting overfull and breaking the augers or flipping blades. The waste sensor and motor is working. We've seen...
We've been resetting them since the 6240 versions at 300K and going to 600K easily. Just do the web when needed.
From sharp airprint guide: • To print with AirPrint when the machine’s user authentication function is used, enable [Enable IPP Authentication Exceptfor Printer Driver] in "Settings (Administrator)"...
I was just going to suggest this as I've seen it in the past, ALWAYS with Kyocera. I don't know what they're doing with those drivers...
Sounds like Amish. I've dealt with some of them in their businesses. They went as far as not referring to computers as computers because they weren't allowed to use computers. Same group who ran...
Try replacing the thermostats as well. May be power though
Check if the mylar at the paper entrance on the fuser is bent, that can stop it. It may be the paper is slipping in the fuser itself. Does the paper ever enter the fuser?
Also, look for a loose spot where glue didn't stick on the mylar in the process unit. There will be a loose spot. You can see it if you remove the blade holder. We've had a ton of those in the 50-70...
Is the machine near a window with direct sunlight? I had one doing this and it ended up being the sun blasting in on the machine certain times of the day.
Sounds like the gears that come out and turn the toner augers arent coming out. It's a whole thing to tear it apart to put the upgraded stuff into it. Been a long time but I remember that much. It's...
Bigdaddy is right. There is an issue with the glue on that mylar. We've been getting new (free) units from Sharp for each one that's bad, and there's been a bunch. Have to check the new ones too, had...
I'd try installing the Kyocera KX driver before updating firmware. No doubt the generic mac driver is being used
LOL this sounds awful familiar to me. We have an energy company that shuts off power to the building all the time and they pay someone OT to come shut them off and turn them back on again. Also in...
Looks like a laser issue. Seeing there was a surge I'd guess it might be toast. That thing belongs in a museum anyway ;)
Black drum/MK. Bad blade cleaning.
