You're the man. I'm sure this is the issue since the machine doing the USB printing is used by students at a university. Most probably use macs. This is the answer! PM me your paypal ID, I'm gonna...
Did you ever find a solution for this? It's happening on one of the machines at my biggest customer and I need to get it resolved!
Typical Microsoft.
This is the correct answer. Too many people slamming in the keyboard after using it. We unplug them if they customer doesn't use it, otherwise it has to be replaced.
As ashamed as I am to say it, at this point I just use a HP driver. The 257 likely doesnt have any features the HP driver can't do.
LOL, or even worse, the dreaded Sharp Universal Print Driver!!!
I know I'm late to the party but second this answer. I've seen bunk print jobs mess up the wacky ass printers. Bad print job hits the NIC, it just reboots over and over until that person deletes the...
If only everyone thought like you and I, friend.
The name of the folder and the share name can be something different.
If you browse to \\computername\ it will show you all of the shared folders...
We've normally found that this is a power fluctuation issue. Put a meter on the outlet and check it out. This is something simple to show the customer that will get the copier out of the situation.
I'm not sure if that model comes standard with a pullout keyboard, but those have been known to seize the UI. If it has one, unplug the ribbon cable or try replacing it.

You'd have to get with Sharp on that one. They've been pretty tight about re-issuing numbers lately. There are certain guidelines they have to follow.

There's that too...if that's what you're referring to.
I thought you were talking about the "Read End" button when copying from the glass that pops up BEFORE you hit the start button.

I know I'm a bit late to the party here but I just wanted to drop some knowledge.
OP, if you run into any Macs that are 10.9 or newer that don't have FTP anymore, there is a simple tool called...
As far as I know when it's out of one color the entire machine stops. If there is a way to work around this I would love to know. We have a couple of "toner emergencies" a week that we could avoid. ...
This is the simplest and most correct answer. The firmware update obviously needs to be for the regular engine version, not the DSK.
This is why we save every stock chip we remove when we install...
Unfortunately that was one of the worst issues with that series, and it's predecessor.
I know they released a couple of firmware updates to help with the frequency of the adjusting. My suggestion...
Faxman is correct. What's the point of adding a data security kit if the machine has no hard drive? Nothing is being stored anywhere.

This normally only pops up when 2-sided copying is selected. Make sure the machine isn't defaulted to make 2-sided copies.
If you lift the lid, place paper, close the lid and hit start it should...
Good to know. Now if only they'd make a tech tip with this information before everyone wasted their time!

If your users have Macs we like to use Printopia. It syncs with the computer's printers and basically uses the mac as a print server.

Hi,
We aren't well versed in the My Folder connector, but we have a customer getting an error that says "“UI Session ID required”
Here is the sequence of input:
Touch my folder connector icon...
Also, I just wanted to add, that Powerpoint is a presentation software not meant to print from.
If you have a customer printing from Powerpoint, there is a setting in the driver that increases...
If none of these suggestions work, I had a very strange case where deleting and reinstalling the print driver took care of some odd blue streaks.

Thanks! I'm confident this is the answer. I haven't tried it yet, but I was thinking something was missing in the registry since it was Outlook 2013.
