I changed the laser unit, also both 50-pin ribbon cables coming off the BCU. The client continued to call in for the error, so we replaced the machine with a loaner which has not given them any...
Hi guys,
MPC4504ex, pops any one of these codes just about every day around 6:30am. 670-02, 272-01, 272-02.
Replaced BCU board, IPU board, BCU-IPU harness and ribbon cable, LDB-IPU harnesses,...
Our company uses them, works great so far. We don't even order the c3003 PCU's anymore.
I'm going to be getting trained on the GD and FW series soon. Really hope there's some knowledgeable people in here for when I start working on them...
I have put 03 PCU's into 04 machines, so it will work, but my understanding is that the new 04 PCU's are actually cheaper, so my dealer is only ordering those PCU's going forward.
Does it work if you network it without DHCP? Is it just the web browser function that can't connect, or can nobody print to the MFP at all?
I actually got it running by changing the orientation to portrait, so the white strip ran along the top of the page. Time will tell if this is a permanent solution, since SEF seemed to be the fix...
Bumping this thread because I have the same issue on the same machine. Only i cannot run any transparencies, gives J060 every time, if it is a print job, it tries to come out of the bridge exit tray...
See if there's a firmware update for that SPDF. They just came out with one for the Metis series that addresses separation issues (multifeeding, sep sensor jams). Also a good idea to replace the...
I'd guess it's color PCUs or dev units. You mentioned you replaced the black PCU, and on the example sheet, black is the only one not making the repeat image.
Also, I happened to see this same...
I used to get fuser codes when I (accidentally) used to put 5502 sleeves in a 3002/3502. They were really intermittent, but they were there. On the other hand, I've run across machines where another...
It usually just means that one of the spring-loaded retainers is out of whack, and is pulling open the chute as you pull the bottle out. I've fixed this by simply taking off the top cover (1 screw!),...
Looks like USB-B won't be standard going forward - it's been missing on every newer box I've seen.
Hooray, paying extra for old features!
If you have a brand new fusing sleeve, take the little fuse out of the box that comes with it. When you go out to the client, you can attach this to their "new" fuser to make the machine think it's...
Try flashing the full package firmware or update all the rest of them individually. The Firmware History mentions that the Fax, FCU and Network Support firmware also could have bugs that cause this...
Hi all,
I have a machine giving an occasional jam code 60 only when transparencies are run through the bypass. The user's driver is set up to deliver the proper paper type settings. The...
This is what took care of the issue, but I appreciate everyone's responses. I removed and cleaned every single one-way in the duplexer, and just for good measure, I pulled the exit assy and gave it...
This. Ricoh refers to it as an "open/close guide" and they released a TSB for this.
Hey guys,
MP5002 getting a duplex jam 25. Only seems to do it on duplex jobs that are more than 1 page. When it jams, one sheet of paper is halfway into the fuser and two sheets are in area Z, one...
This is always the culprit, in my experience. The part number for the gear/shaft is B8022231.
This is generally what we've been seeing. It is important to clean the plastic vertical tube that sits between the dev unit and toner hopper. It's held on by 2 screws to the rear frame of the machine...
Here's another way of getting rid of the noise:
Add the fusing oil supply rollers to the fusing unit. Part# D105 4385. These will look similar to the ones in the MPC2050/2550. Comes as one...
Check the paper feed clutch, the gear teeth may be broken. It's driven by the main motor.
SP5801 clears all of the NVRAM settings. It will not reset a fuser code, you're thinking of SP5810. Not all models have this SP mode. I believe on your model, you reset the fuser codes by simply...
