I cleaned the overflowing waste screw that was dumping onto secondary transfer roller,
but that was not the cause, I removed magenta drum, and found the dot that keeps repeating every revolution, ...
I have red dots appearing 1.8" apart, what is the cause of them?
I know I could replace the magenta drum,
just want to know what is failing on the drum, and if there is a remedy. :confused:...
you have a buildup of toner on the ITB assembly, (on the sides over the ends of primary transfer rollers)
when you remove problem drum, you should see the toner build-up on the transfer belt....
ok, that was 3 auto grads and all ok, thank you. :D
cleaned the scoop up tray and waste toner screw, re installed, after first two auto gradations, no spatter, wil see :).
Now to understand the function of the scoop up, is it there for any overflow...

I once had one that printed fine for a while then had same problem,
leveling copier solved the problem.
Are there any settings to reduce sheen on prints for IRC5185?
