Are you sure it is the staple function causing this? I know the duplex has an 'offset' & I usually zero out the 'margin shift' settings that are defaulted when running Duplex, thru User Tools.

can i find the format instructions in the manual? haven't done this before!
No, i formatted thru laptop - tried both FAT & FAT32. This is a great idea, will try next!
has anyone been able to recover a machine (firmware update interrupted) using the Emergency Firmware procedure? I have done it on a larger TA machine & was hoping it was just as straightforward on...
3M prints & i didn't see where you replaced the developer unit? The filters are critical on the higher speed machines also!
i have pulled a few SD options from working machines we have parted out - list below
Print Scan Option - Type 171, 1350 (2 of these), 3030, 2105 (2), 7500, 3010, 8000
PostScript - 1357, C4500 &...
How many total clicks on machine? i have seen the front guide (black plastic with ridges) on the Transfer Unit wear out on these, causing CQ similar to this. If transfer belt is black & waaaay...
We currently have 2 of these models, recently placed (1 month & 6 weeks) at 2 different customers. The fax option stopped working & doesn't register on machine (fax button no go & doesn't show as an...
Try my trick - install normal op panel, upgrade firmware for Smart Op panel, then install smart op panel on machine. Worked twice for us!
TSRC or rfg sites, onto SD memory card or via computer (remote firmware)
I'm assuming you did finisher firmware early in this process? Couple versions of firmware addressing various jamming on the SR 4030 early on.
glad it's fixed - just a tip from running into this; you can web into the machine using the WIM (IP address thru browser) and it will show the SC code. Usually related to polygon mirror motor (SC202)
Came here to say the above. N.A Trading sells a 'mylar repair kit' - make sure you vacuum out the hopper & check the dev unit, those mylars went somewhere
Recent install of Smart Op Panel (SOP)? I got around a different firmware error code by installing the old 'normal' op panel, updating firmware, restarting & then re-doing the Smart Op Panel...
Is the panel off (dark) when this happens? I have had problems with the sleep/energy save & power off timers - when all set to the same time (example; 60 minutes). As mentioned firmware - both...
Anyone else having Op Panel issues on the MP 6002 or MP 7502 series? The touch screen still works, but the hard keys (both sides) do not. i suspect static discharge from the customer, as we had 10...
Looks like the slower/smaller machine (2554,3054, 3554) toner bottles will fit into the higher speed (4054, 5054, 6054) machines, but NOT vice-versa. Of course the slower machine toner bottle...
We've had several of these throw fuser codes, and are finding power issues (mostly dips) behind it. The newer ESP surge protectors have a digital readout of number of spikes, drops, etc and can be...
whoa, someone at Kyo-cheapo watches too much Glee??!
yeah, I guess all manf's have their own feats of engineering stupidity - once again, I feel better knowing I won't have to touch any of the boxes some of you have referenced in this thread. I should...
seems like everything leads back to the main board!? We went thru quite a few boards last year
+1 Ditto on the flat white data cable from the scanner. Mine had good internal prints & those digital lines when copying
You WIN!
way to go Dave, uh, i mean TonerHead!
installing a fax board in an mp2501 shouldn't be THIS difficult!? first one i've done, and the 42 screws & 'move the main board to the left' (when they give you 1mm) is ridiculous! I realize this...
