Make sure the NIC is switch on in SP mode.
That is why, young Padawan, you must use the force or alternatively you download all the training material and use Ctrl + f and use key words 😜
Still the Venus, but the Charis (MPC6502/Pro 5100) is making a grab for the crown based on the amount of eco psu's I'm replacing!!!!
There is a limit on the amount it can scan on the machine side. Usually set to 2Mb as default. I usually switch it off. I think it's found in scan feature on page 1, just look for the one that is set...
I hope you are billing this lot for all this extra work. You set it up in the first place and then they move the goal posts. Do they get this kind of thing free in any other industry.........NO
I ask this question every time Ricoh releases a new machine. Everything is different and means more crap in your car. They make it more complex just for the sake of it.
I had one of these recently and it point blank refused to allow me into SP mode using either SOM or the up/down button. Turned out the control board died and took everything else out with it.
Why not just set it to the specific paper size or do they change paper types often?
I've given up cleaning the Dev bias roller and trying to run it again. Now I just replace the drum, dev, charge roller and blade at the same time as all that happens is that it'll start to give...
It's the machine that keeps giving. Now the bearings on the metal cover (stupidly designed) that you take off to access the PCU's are starting to bind to the drum ground shaft. I enjoyed 90 minutes...
If I remember correctly it's the tray stacker motor that's under powered and need to be replaced with a stronger one. Check bulletin RB830002a
Parts are B8303128 and B8303111
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Please tell me your making this up. I've been hoping these 'new' machines had everything sorted out
How many copies has your drum and dev done?
When they start to wear you'll get this code along with half a ton of dev in the PCU:p
As of today the biggest pile of shite is still and will always be the Venus range of machines.
If it aint broke, don't fix it!!!!
Had this and nothing worked at all. In the end I did an engine clear and it worked. Just make sure you print out an SMC data sheet just incase you need to refer to it for lost settings.
Do the mod on the rotation sensor, you replace the 2 photo sensors (I think it's 2) and replace the half moon shaped bit on the fuser unit that goes through them. Caused me no end of bother at a...
It could be that the NIC is not switched on. SP5985 1 to enable
I'd say PS as it the highest end print language you can get, on Ricoh kit anyway.
Can't remember if it's related or not, but does it have an software running on it, ie GlobalScan, PCC. Could be the Java card is corrupt.
If you have a machine that uses 2 HDD's (MPC3500 for example) then swap the connectors over and usually that will fix it. Happen's quiet often to me. I would also recommend you invest in a HDD caddy...
DON'T DO IT, I spent a small fortune on one of those recently, 4 x PCU's 4 x Dev units, ITB Belt and cleaning unit and took 8hrs in total to fix due to line adjustment being out. It was just about...
Classy reply ass hole, last time I offer any help to you!
Have you replaced the dev, as they will start to pour toner all over the machine if it's done over 600k as that's when it should be replaced. Also if your dev unit is anything upward of 2.5 million...
