MXM356N PC Faxing Failure
Direct dial out works fine however Memory and PC faxing seem to fail a lot. Called Tech Support and was directed to TT-050415_1. The section referring to soft switch 8 and 9. This did not fix my issue. Has anyone else seen this?

Is it 2 wires phone cable or 4 wires..., could it be a Voip line??

If VOIP line, we just had a major issue with faxing cutting off faxes intermittently. Turns out that Comcast has call waiting installed on all VOIP's and after they turned off call waiting, haven't had any issues since. Verizon charges for this option where Comcast is free and installed. If Comcast, have customer call to have turned off on fax line!!! Good luck!!!

The above is correct. I always go for the 2 pin phone line and I make changes to the copier, when Comcast and other digital phone service is provided. There may be a bulletin on the settings, if not, go through the settings and change the baud rate to 9600 for transmission and reception. There are multiple switches, some for setting the baud rates and others not to use V.34.
