    MX-M264

Hi, We have a sharp mx-m264 thats been in the customers office for a little over 2 months. Got a call today that the touch screen was unresponsive, and upon arrival shut it down unplugged from wall, booted back up and it was working. went to simulation 65-1 to calibrate the touch screen and it froze upon cancelling simulation, tried to boot back up several times. The scanner moves slightly after flipping the switch and the energy saver light consistently blinks. I personally think it is the power supply but i would like a second opinion, Thank you for your time!!!

Was the DC PSU ever replaced? The factory PSU was known to fail.

The fix on mine was remove the fax option. Had a fax option installed but was not used-no phone line . Had been working fine . Weird

We had a similar issue on a ARM257 the older gen of this machine. Came out to be the low voltage board.

If the mc does NOT have the hard drive kit fitted, replace the SD card. They fail frequently on non-hdd machines

There is an SD card definitely, and you can fit an optional hdd kit. If you do not have the hdd kit, the SD card is used to temporarily store scan and copy data as well as the boot OS and because of heavy read/write use, it fails... frequently
